Always, Sometimes, Never

Saw this on another blog and thought it was cute!

I ALWAYS

love drinkin' a coke

love seeing Jeremy walk through the door

enjoy sleeping in

am up for shopping

love baking

get excited to travel

love a clean house

drive over the speed limit

love reading a magazine by the pool

have been a fan of hearts

want to be more like Jesus

think time flies too fast

like a cute, quality pair of shoes

like to play games with family and friends

use my daily planner

I SOMETIMES

forget to be thankful

miss Jake when he's napping

like to eat out

wish we had an upstairs to keep Jake's toys out of sight

use coupons

wish that we could travel more

want Jake to stay this age forever

(usually) have an opinion and something to say

love my alone/me time (what little there is)

think about my Daddy Joe and miss him so much

take too many pictures (guess who they're of?)

talk too much

let my closet get out of control messy

want more than 3 kids

I NEVER

want to miss anything my Jakey does

try to hurt anyone's feelings

want to go back to work, as long as I have young kids

am ready to wake up (even if it's 9:30, like it was today)

want anything to harm those I love

get bored

like to see a fight

drink enough water

like to sleep without a fan

go to bed before Jeremy

have been so happy

care how things work, just want them to work

am cheap, I like the best of the best (which is not always good)

pass up a roller coaster ride

want to take for granted the richly blessed life I live

He Didn't Listen...

Happiest, most content baby ever!

Jake and his new friend Kinsey

TWO Teeth!!

Standing on his own!

If you read my post below, you know I told Jake to SLOW DOWN. He's just such a big boy and I'm not ready for that just yet. :) Of course, part of that is that he's literally big. He seems older than he is because he's as big as most 1 year olds! :(

Well, since that post he's gotten his second tooth. It had been near the surface but popped thru today! He now has his two bottom teeth and they are absolutely precious!

I also forgot to mention last week that I gave him his little brush to play with (yes, I brush his hair after every bath). He instantly hit himself in the head with it. Atleast he knows where it goes and what it's supposed to do, haha!

Also, he's been waving "Bye Bye" this week to his aunts. We've been saying it for a week or two when we have company and they leave. Well, Tuesday Haley brought over Kinsey, the little girl she's been babysitting this summer. Jake loves her! When they were leaving they were waving bye and Jake waved to them for a really long time. Then, today as Jake's aunt Courtney was leaving we were waving and he decided to wave to her also. Soooo precious. What a smart boy we have!! :-) I hope to capture it on camera now that he's done it more than once. :)

Dear Jakey,

SLOW DOWN!!!!

The past couple of weeks you've become so independent. You're growing up way too fast!

At 6 months you've:

been holding your own bottle

getting up on all fours/scooting/beginning stages of crawling-oh no! haha

have a little tooth and the one next to it coming in also!

trying to feed yourself

again...making sure Daddy gets your food in quickly! :)

and sitting like a pro is old news now! you look like such a big boy!

BUT...you'll always be my SWEET

BABY BOY!

I love you always, unconditionally. I can't imagine my life without you, precious boy.

6 Month Pics!!!!

Do I really need to say anything? Obviously he's the cutest, sweetest, most adorably chubby 6 month old that has ever existed!! Am I right? ;-)
(I know I've already got these pics posted on facebook but a few of you still don't have it and I wanted for everyone to see how cute these turned out! And I wanted record of them in our "family journal" too, of course!)

So blessed to have known my sweet husband for almost half of my life! He is my best friend and I wouldn't choose any other to spend this life with. Can't believe it's been a year exactly since we were in Hawaii celebrating five years. Time has especially flown this past year! Now we have Jakey and we have never been happier! Happy Anniversary, Jeremy. I love you with all my heart!

6 Month Dr Visit!

(top pic- legs after shots)
(bottom pic- how he was sleeping after we got home- love it!!)
Yesterday Jake had a check-up with Dr Edralin. I loved hearing that everything that he should be doing, he is. He said that he's wonderful and that I should know that I'm lucky because he's such an easy baby. He had him sit, pull up from sitting to a standing position, held him, talked to him, measured him (nurse), asked what he ate, when he went to bed, when he takes naps, etc. He's 82% and 87% for height and weight (music to my ears after our weight checks after he was born). He also commented on how strong he is and what a talker he is. We're proud he's doing so well with both his motor and social skills. Even in the past couple of days he's started mimicking adult sounds beyond just cooing...dadadadada baaaaaa mmmmaaaa. It sounded so weird coming out of his mouth because he's making all new sounds! He also cut his first tooth yesterday (7/9/09) at 6 months 6 days old. I've also gotten the courage to leave him sitting on the floor while I'm doing things around the house and he's proven to be pretty trustworthy to sit and play w/his toys. He's also now putting himself to sleep. No bottle, no rocking, nothing- just lay him in his bed and he's out! Wow! Easier than I thought, I guess. I've just always loved rocking him!
Things are moving right along and we feel so blessed to have a perfect, healthy baby boy! It's such a weird feeling being relieved and free that he's becoming so independent, but a little sad, too. He's still a baby, but yet depending on me less and less each day! I didn't think about that process starting so early in his life!!!
