Port Aransas 2011!!

16 of the 17 people in our family who went! Yummy seafood!

Mom, Jon and Lissa takin' the boat out to ride the waves in...

The "grandkids" in our family

Haha--Haley's fiance Kris catchin' some zzz's on the way to Port A- using Jakey's blankey to hide the sunshine!

The sweetest and best little traveler-- 3hrs both ways with no restroom breaks.

Jakey loves Kris! And jumping off of the float, too.

Happy Boy!

Beach baby!

Some of the family relaxing on the beach

Me and my honey

He is totally a nut! He'd run to the other end of the pool with no one near and jump in. Once or twice he did it with no floaties and actually popped back up to the surface. I was hoping it'd scare him to deter him, but no.

Sweet face...

My family

This boy is 2.5 years now! Crazy!!

Playin b-ball w/Uncle Jon and Mitch

A sweaty 6.5 month pregnant mama and her baby boy!

The ferry ride! No dolphin sighting this time but Jakey loved it.

Last weekend we headed to Port Aransas for our annual family beach trip. This year there were 17 of us! We had booked our stay later than usual and had no options but two older condos with 3 bedrooms each. We were certainly not up to par with the 3 story beach houses we've had the past few years with 3 balconies, outdoor kitchens, granite countertops, etc, etc. However, we had an absolute ball! This place was older but clean and had lots of amenities. We played sand volleyball several times and tennis a lot, too. Since we had a super close walk to the beach, some of the guys would go down and fish at night. We played tons and tons of games and ate tons and tons of yummy food. I am so thankful for my big family that gets along so well and shares so much love for eachother. It seems like there's never enough time when we're together and we miss eachother when we're apart. We missed Daddy Joe again, and can't believe it's been almost 3 years since he's been gone. Looking forward to all being together eternally one day!

4th of July!!

Just before the parade.

Daddy and Jakey

My sweet family. I love my boys more than anything!

What a fun 4th of July weekend we had! We had lots of time as a family and with friends and family, too. We spent time on Friday night as a family going to the mall to get a couple of things for Jake's big boy room and a couple of cute things at Janie and Jack. Then we went to Cheesecake Factory before heading home. Saturday we met some friends at the splashpad for a picnic and then Sunday we went to church, lunch with Jeremy's family and then home for naps. Sunday evening we spent at my parents playing games and hanging out. Monday morning we had Jake's friend Clint's 2nd birthday party at the park and then headed for the Creekside pool and floated the lazy river. Monday night we went over to Brian and Nikki's for delicious food and great friends! The kids colored, put on a parade and just played and had fun. We truly had a perfect weekend and are so thankful for eachother, our sweet boy, our family, our friends, and our freedom! Thank you, God!

*PS- pic quality horrible due to the settings on my camera being messed up. So glad I could salvage some of them and save the memories! Sorry for the bad pics. =)

San Antonio Fun!!!

Posing on the Lions like we did as kids!

So sweet!

So happy--he had just picked out "baby".

I LOVE this pic. It was love at first sight!!

The alligator popped right up by Jakey!

Peeping thru the hole in the Children's area -- it was prairie dogs --baby prairie dogs!

He LOVES walking thru these rock tunnels and seeing the fish.

Pelicans with Gran!

Such a sweet pic of Lissa and Jakey!! (aka Aunt Wissa!)

The following pics are from the Natural Bridge Caverns Wildlife Safari-- so fun!

Knock, knock!

He was not scared of the zebras, they were nuts!

See what I mean!?!

He loved driving as much as he loved the animals. :)

the "Biggg" Giraffes

Such perfect, cool weather!!

A couple of weeks ago Papaw took Mommy and Jake to meet Lissa in Giddings so Lissa could take us back to San Antonio for a couple of days while she was off. Daddy worked at home the rest of the week and then joined us for the weekend/Sea World. We went up on a Tues afternoon and Wed and Thurs were spent at the Safari and the Zoo. We loved both---Jake's the perfect age and is such a happy boy when he's outside. We ate out Mexican food a couple of times and two of our favorite restaurants and watched movies each night. It was the perfect mixture of relaxation and fun, as always. And, Jeremy helped on the relaxation part by scheduling me a one hour facial at the spa that I love there!

My uncle Jon came up over the weekend, too and we ended the weekend by going to their church on Sunday. No one had seen Jake in a while so it was good to visit with everyone! Jake was shoving Gran and my Mother's Day roses (that their church handed out) in all of our faces to smell, so he was being quite the ham. He loved all of the laughs and sweet compliments he received!

We had a great week, and can't wait to go back. But first, we'll let Gran and Lissa rest, Jakey is 90 miles an hour and he can wear you out! =)

Sea World!!

Jake on lookout for the dolphins

Yummy smoothie on the ride home

he loved the nets!

Jake doesn't watch much tv, and Sesame street is the only thing he even kinda watches. He was saying, "Bernie" thru the fence. Haha! It was sweet--they turned around and there was a whole line of people in front of them and we didn't even bother going since they actually played w/him thru the fence.

Look at that air! He loves to run. He reminds me of Forest Gump, hehe!!

The big ride that Jake rode and loved!

Soo happy after coming down-- about to get off the ride.

Precious--melts my heart!

This ride was FUN! The man next to us got such a kick out of Jake's giggles the whole time we were spinning/swinging.

"Shampoo!!!!!" Hehe

This boy had the best time at Sea World!! He was so happy all day, except when we'd leave something he loved--which was everything! His favorite was definitely the Texas Splash Down, which we always called the log ride. He giggled and squealed the whole time, it was so priceless. He never got scared and kept asking for "One more boat ride" all day. So, of course we went back later! He also loved playing in the water, Shampoo (Shamu), lemonade, the Abby ride he rode with Mommy, the carousel, and the dolphins. He just kept saying, "Wanna get in the water" when we were petting the dolphins. Ha! We were shocked he lasted so long, we finally called it a day around 4:30 because we were getting hungry and thirsty and didn't want to eat dinner at the park. He loved his smoothie on the way home! We had the perfect, perfect day and are soaking up every second with our Jakey!!

PS-Daddy and I are THRILLED to have someone who loves thrill rides as much as we do! Yayy!!
