Haley and Kris' Wedding!

Sisters! (at the very end of the reception after 11pm)

I'm not sure what we were laughing about, but this was a funny pic! (soo not a flattering pic of my 9 month pregnant body and double chin, hehe!)

Last Friday night Haley and Kris got married at Amber Springs. That place is gorgeous!! I can't wait to see the professional pictures because this was the prettiest location/venue I have ever seen. Luckily, the weather was nice and not too hot or too sunny. The wedding was outside and the reception was inside. I was really disappointed with the amount of pictures I took and Jeremy said the camera was acting up when he was taking pics during the ceremony. It wouldn't focus and then wouldn't snap a picture when he tried. Hopefully I can purchase some of the photographer's shots! I literally can't wait to see them.

Where Has Sadie Been This Summer?

Today I was calling Sadie from the back door to come in and eat. She was not coming, so I went to look in both side yards. I think she's been escaping the summer heat and going to her own little spa. Our brilliant neighbors have a garden in their backyard and like to flood it...which then floods into our side yard. It created a little mud puddle or two. She was laying and rolling in it like a little piglet when I found her (before I had to come and get my camera).

Grrr. She just got a bath yesterday. This is just one reason, that, since Jake was born, "our girls" have become our "dogs". I no longer find these things cute or have the time or patience to deal with them.

Some of Jake's First Week

We've had a great first week at home. We've enjoyed being in our own bed and eating good food again... the hospital food got old (And my mom cooked for us this week!). Also, Jake's been a great baby. He's been sleeping thru the night except for feedings. We probably get atleast 7 or 8 hours a night and because of that aren't as exhausted as we've heard new parents can be.
Also, we returned to the pedi on Friday for a weigh-in for Jake. He didn't lose any so they were pleased and now we don't have to supplement with formula. Yay!!! It had already stained one of his bibs so I was excited about that...plus after all that work of feeding him every 1.5 - 2 hours it's very discouraging to hear that you're not enough. My good friend Rachel brought over a baby scale so now we can weigh him on our own every few days to make sure he's gaining. It's been very consuming for me so I'm glad to finally see progress and to be able to know he's bringing his chub back!
We had help! :) Tues-Thurs nights we got to share the Jake duty with my mom- so nice! I don't know how we would've done it without her.

Taking a nap in his bassinett

On his first walk...the only warm day we've had (Thurs-5 days old)

asleep on Mommy

exhausted after his second pediatricians appt on Friday

On the way to his first Pedi visit on Thursday (I was STILL swollen)

One of my favorite outfits so far...from Gran :) Doesn't he look adorable?

first bath at home (sponge bath over the sink)

another bath...I think his second one

On another Note...

The Dogs. They're realizing that they're not exactly high on the totem pole anymore. They spend lots of time staring at us holding Jake, listening to him cry, staring in the back door window, and locked in their kennels because they crossed the line and got too close to Jake or didn't mind.

Look to the left in the door- notice any puppies being jealous of Jake? :) too funny!

Jeremy was in bed while my mom and I were up late with Jake. We walked out of Jake's room to find Cassie sneaking to her kennel- probably to avoid a spanking! My mom had left out some groceries...including a bag of flour. What a weird dog!

Our Easter Weekend '08

Me, Matt, Court

Jeremy, Me, Matt, Court

Macy stayed at this tree all day and didn't budge...poor squirrel!

Me and Court (and for those of you wondering where Haley is, she was at a beach house with her friends for Spring Break) We missed her and aren't used to her being gone on Easter!

This weekend was a great time with family and friends. On Friday I went shopping with my mom, sister Courtney, and brother Matt. On Saturday Rachel came over to help me install my Uppercase Living items I'd bought at her party a couple of weeks ago. Then Saturday night we celebrated Easter with Jeremy's side of the family and then Shad and Kaleb came over to play Rock Band. Sunday we went to church and then went over to my parents for a delicious Easter lunch. Then we watched the Spurs beat the Mavs. It was an interesting game with Dirk getting hurt and Ginobli and Stackhouse getting physical. Stackhouse is a bit psycho if you ask me!

We hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter weekend, too!

Jeremy and Kaleb on his Nintendo DS (at Jeremy's parents house)
Kaleb with our girls
Kaleb and Shad on the drums
Enter with a happy heart (Uppercase Living expression now in our entry way) The colors I got it in are Chocolate brown and sage green.
Forever & Ever now in our bedroom :) Love it! The pictures don't do it justice but I know several of you have asked me about this stuff and/or weren't able to make the party. I have several projects I'm working on instead of putting all the expressions directly on the wall so I'll try to update once I get some of those completed.

Puppies are so funny!! (And some other sweet pics)

Since it's been way too long since a Kinley post.....
J/K! I really do have something to show y'all that is quite entertaining!!
On Tues night Ryan, Jess, and Kinley came over (and brought dinner!!!) I know, we have great friends! :) Kinley thought Cassie and Sadie were so funny...or funny looking!?! :)

She was just giggling and giggling at them. It was one of the sweetest noises I've ever heard.

Have a listen for yourself!! (and try to ignore my casual dress- anytime Kinley comes over I wear a tshirt b/c she loves to spit up on me!! Ewww.
(note- if you want to hear it clearly, pause our playlist music. Also, Jeremy and Ryan are playing Rock band in the background if you're wondering what that crazy noise is)

Miss Kinley has found her toes :)

The following pics were taken at the Coleman's a couple of weeks ago...
Me & Kinley's Momma (aka a bff of mine)

Me and my sweet Jeremy (like my triple chin there?)

Jess' sister Kayla took the 2 above pics...thanks Kayla!! :) She actually tagged me in them on facebook...and I don't even know if she checks in on our little blog, but if she does then I thought I'd give her a shout out. :)

Weekend Happenings...

This Friday we went to another one of Matt's games...this time in Huntsville. They won 52-32, which I wasn't too happy about because I like them close!! It made for an interesting game since the refs only called about 3 fouls the whole game. It got pretty rough...but atleast they were letting things go on both sides and it was fair. Only a few games left this season, so we'll make as many as possible. Atleast we have Haley's softball season coming up!

Saturday we had the pleasure of keeping Kinley for the day. Her parents weren't feeling so well so she ran errands with us. We went to the bank, the cleaners, lunch, and grocery shopping. She was perfect and we had such a good day. After we got home from all of those places she helped Jeremy root for the aggies during their b-ball game (sshh- don't tell her daddy :)) We finally decided to give her back after that.

This is what the dogs were doing while we were holding/playing with Kinley. I think they knew we weren't paying them any attention and gave up on trying to get in the middle of everything.
